New Dem-Endorsed Candidate Rebecca Cooke Wins WI-03 Primary, Will Take on Far-Right Extremist Derrick Van Orden in November

Washington, D.C. — Last night, New Dem Action Fund-endorsed candidate Rebecca Cooke (WI-03) won her primary and will advance to the general election in November, where she’ll take on far-right incumbent Republican Rep. Derrick Van Orden.

“The 2024 election is a critical inflection point in our country’s history. Up and down the ballot, the American people will have the chance to reject the far-right extremism embodied by people like Donald Trump and Derrick Van Orden,” said New Democrat Coalition Action Fund Chair Annie Kuster (NH-02). “With a decisive win in her primary last night, Rebecca Cooke is poised to flip this critical seat from red to blue in November and help New Dems return common sense, bipartisanship, and normalcy to Washington. In the weeks and months ahead, we’ll do everything in our power to get Rebecca over the finish line and secure a Democratic majority in the House.”
