Today, New Democrat Coalition Action Fund National Finance Chair Marc Veasey (TX-33) issued a statement following Vice President Kamala Harris’ release of her Opportunity Agenda for Black Men.
Harris’ agenda lays out several actions, including supporting Black entrepreneurs, expanding access to education and apprenticeship, and launching a National Health Equity initiative to deliver for Black men.
“Kamala Harris promised she would be a President for every American, no matter their race, zip code, or political party – and today she’s delivering on that promise.
“Her agenda would help position Black men to get high paying jobs, achieve financial success, and access better health care. Harris is not only recognizing but addressing decades of discrimination and disproportionate barriers to success that have impacted Black men in America.
“Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s weak record in office and on the campaign trail shows that all he has to offer Black men is more division, racist rhetoric and empty promises. With just 22 days until Election Day, New Dems will keep working to win the White House and deliver a Democratic House majority to implement Kamala Harris’ future forward agenda for every American.”
