New Dems’ latest endorsement slate includes candidates from Arizona, Colorado, Wisconsin, Missouri, New Jersey and New York, bringing the Action Fund’s total number of endorsed candidates to 47
Washington, D.C. — Today, the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund endorsed six more candidates working to either flip key districts from red to blue or hold onto important seats to win back the House majority. The new endorsement slate includes: Jonathan Nez (AZ-02), Adam Frisch (CO-03), Peter Barca (WI-01), Wesley Bell (MO-01), Nellie Pou (NJ-09), and George Latimer (NY-16).
“New Dems are proud to endorse Jonathan Nez, Adam Frisch, Peter Barca, Wesley Bell, Nellie Pou, and George Latimer. Each candidate embodies the pragmatic, common ground approach Democrats need to deliver the majority for Democrats and for the American people in Congress,” said New Democrat Coalition Action Fund Chair Annie Kuster (NH-02). “Over the next two weeks, New Dems will do everything in our power to boost all of our endorsed candidates’ campaigns and secure key victories. Now with 47 New Dem-endorsed candidates across the country, it’s clearer than ever that the path to a Democratic House majority runs through New Dems.”
"I’m honored to have the support of the New Dem Action Fund in my historic run for Arizona’s Second Congressional District. As the former President of the Navajo Nation, I know the importance of having to build bipartisan coalitions to deliver results for my constituents,” said Jonathan Nez (AZ-02). “In Congress, I looked forward to bringing a new perspective and voice to the table, representing the needs of both rural and tribal communities in Arizona. One that will be invaluable to addressing the costs of child and elder care, bringing new and improved infrastructure to communities in need, and creating stronger rural economies. With the support of the New Dems, we will restore representation focused on the people and not extremist politics."
"Voters in CD3 are looking for real leaders who will stand up to defend our rural values and fight to make life easier for working families," said Adam Frisch. "I am proud to partner with the New Dems because like me they understand that we must be laser-focused on expanding economic growth and ensuring that all Coloradans have the opportunity to benefit. I look forward to working with them to grow our economy, create good-paying jobs, and make sure rural Colorado doesn't get left behind."
"I thank New Dems for recognizing my record of going to bat for Wisconsin families and small businesses and getting things done,” said Peter Barca (WI-01). “Families in my district can't afford to be represented any longer by a Member of Congress who puts party politics and Washington special interests ahead of what's best for Southeast Wisconsin. I look forward to working with New Dems, a pragmatic group of Members focused on delivering results, next Congress.”
"Forward thinking ideas to lower costs, create jobs, and strengthen the American economy is what the New Democrat Coalition is all about," said State Senator Nellie Pou (NJ-09). "The endorsement of the NewDem Action Fund recognizes my record as a pragmatic leader crafting smart policies in the New Jersey legislature. And I look forward to working with coalition colleagues in the House to enact common sense solutions to improve the lives of American families."
"I'm honored to receive this endorsement from the New Democrat Coalition,” said Wesley Bell (MO-01). “My entire career, I have worked to bring people together and tackle big challenges. As a public servant, an educator, and a former union member, I've seen firsthand that the best way to provide opportunity for the American people is to build an economy that works for everyone. I look forward to bringing that experience to Congress and fighting for a brighter future for the St. Louis region."
“I am honored to be endorsed for Congress by the NewDem Action Fund and look forward to working with like-minded colleagues on ensuring our nation's growth and prosperity while promoting the Democratic principles held so dearly by working Americans,” said George Latimer (NY-16).
