New Dems Celebrate Jessica Killin's Primary Win in CO-05

Army veteran Killin advances to the general, having already outraised Republican Rep. Jeff Crank

Today, New Democrat Coalition Action Fund (NDAF) Chair Greg Stanton (AZ-04) issued a statement after NDAF-endorsed candidate Jessica Killin won the Democratic primary in Colorado's 5th Congressional District.

New Dems were early backers of Killin, who won the top line at the Democratic assembly, earned the endorsement of every Democratic member of Colorado's congressional delegation, and was named to the DCCC's Red to Blue program.

"Colorado Springs deserves a fighter, and tonight Democratic voters nominated one," said NDAF Chair Greg Stanton. "Jeff Crank has spent his first term in Washington voting to raise costs on Colorado families — giving tax breaks to the wealthy, paid for by health care and food assistance cuts for hard working families. Jessica Killin is an Army veteran who has already outraised Crank. That’s because voters are tired of a congressman who answers to Mike Johnson and the MAGA wing of his party instead of his constituents."

"CO-05 is on the map because of candidates like Jessica: pragmatic, battle-tested, and laser-focused on lowering costs. New Dems are proud to stand with her as we retire Jeff Crank and take back the House this November."
