NewDem Candidates Remain the Center of DCCC Red-to-Blue Program

The NewDem Action Fund has endorsed 20 of the 25 total red-to-blue challengers

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced their latest slate of five red-to-blue candidates, including four NewDem Action Fund-endorsed candidates: Shomari Figures (AL-02), Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08), Ashley Ehasz (PA-01) and Janelle Stelson (PA-10). Each of these candidates will take on Republicans in competitive districts in November and ultimately help Democrats retake the House. NewDem Action Fund-endorsed candidates make up the vast majority of races in this program, with 20 of our endorsed candidates represented.

New Democrat Coalition Action Fund Chair Annie Kuster (NH-02) and Recruitment Co-Chairs Josh Harder (CA-09) and Pat Ryan (NY-18) issued the following statement on the announcement:

“Once again, we are proud to see NewDems making up the vast majority of candidates on the critical DCCC red-to-blue program. NewDems know how to run and most importantly win competitive races across the country and these twenty candidates will be the ones to help Democrats take back the House. As the majority makers, NewDems have our feet on the gas and are not slowing down until we win big in November.”
