Nebraska State Senator Tony Vargas is Running to Flip this Key District and Help Democrats Retake the Majority in November 2024
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund announced its endorsement of State Senator Tony Vargas for Nebraska’s Second Congressional District. Throughout his career, Vargas has served the people of Omaha, first as a public school teacher, later as a school board member, and now as a Member of the state legislature. NewDems previously endorsed Vargas in the 2022 election cycle, where he narrowly lost to GOP incumbent Rep. Don Bacon. In 2024, Vargas plans to close this gap and flip this key seat.
