WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund announced it has raised more than $2.9 million as of the September filing deadline, surpassing the amount the Action Fund raised in the entire off-year last cycle by nearly $400,000 in just the first three-quarters of this year. Critically, this includes $1.25M heading directly to NewDem Members in 2023.
These impressive fundraising numbers are a direct result of the work of our NewDem Action Fund Leadership Team, including Chair Rep. Annie Kuster, and Reps. Marc Veasey and Mikie Sherrill, who are leading the Action Fund’s first-ever National Finance Team.
NewDems set an ambitious fundraising agenda for the 2024 cycle, doubling down on our efforts in order to make a tangible difference in battleground races and ultimately take back the House. It’s clear the Action Fund is on path to exceed this goal and plans to raise more money than ever before.
“This cycle, NewDems have set out on an ambitious fundraising agenda to bring in more money and critical resources for our battleground Members and red-to-blue candidates than any previous cycle,” said New Democrat Coalition Chair Annie Kuster (NH-02). “Republicans have a slim majority and have shown time and time again they are incapable of effectively governing. NewDems are in striking distance of flipping the House and are in the best possible position going into 2024.”
“At the beginning of the year, the NewDem Action Fund came right out of the gate with a strong fundraising plan and it’s clear our work traveling across the country is paying off,” said NewDem Action Fund Finance Chair Marc Veasey and Vice Chair Mikie Sherrill. “NewDems are proving once again to be powerful players in the fundraising space and will continue building on our broad base of support in the month ahead to continue surpassing our financial goals.”
