The NewDems Action Fund has now endorsed 40 candidates ahead of the 2026 midterms
Today, the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund (NDAF) endorsed two more candidates in a strong position to flip pivotal seats that could decide the balance of power in the House this November: Dr. Amish Shah (AZ-01) and Christina Hines (MI-10).
“Dr. Amish Shah and Christina Hines have spent their careers making their communities healthier and safer,” said NDAF Chair Greg Stanton (AZ-04). “From the emergency room to the courtroom, these two public servants have proven they’re willing to take on anyone to fight for their neighbors. I’m fired up to welcome these two powerful candidates onto the New Dem team and help them win two of the closest open seats on the battlefield to deliver the majority in November.”
“I’ve spent decades serving people as an ER doctor, helping everyone who walks through the door on what is often the worst day of their life. At a time when the federal government is cutting healthcare for millions of Americans, I’m running for Congress to ensure everyone can get the healthcare they deserve,” said Dr. Amish Shah. “I’m grateful to the New Dems for their support in this race. Together, we will flip this seat, lower costs, and deliver real relief to Maricopa County families.”

Dr. Amish Shah (AZ-01): An emergency room physician and former Arizona State Representative, Dr. Shah has a strong track record of serving his community in the hospital and the halls of power. He’s fighting to win one of the tightest toss-up seats in the nation against extremist Republican Jay Feely.
Christina Hines (MI-10): A prosecutor born and raised in Macomb County, Michigan, Christina has spent her entire career fighting for the victims of abuse and human trafficking, putting predators behind bars to protect women and children. She won a hotly contested primary this week and is working to flip a seat being vacated by Republican Rep. John James.
