New Dems Endorse Four Candidates in Pennsylvania, Texas, California, and Minnesota

This brings the total number of New Dem-endorsed candidates to 25, including 17 in the DCCC’s Red to Blue program

Today, New Democrat Coalition Action Fund announced the endorsement of four more candidates fighting to flip and hold the seats Democrats need to secure the majority in November: Bob Harvie (PA-01), Jacqui Irwin (CA-26), Jake Johnson (MN-01), and Bobby Pulido (TX-15).

New Dems have now endorsed 25 candidates this cycle as we continue to throw the full weight and resources of the Action Fund behind the individuals running the strongest races in the most critical seats in the country. New Dem candidates continue to make up the majority of the DCCC’s Red to Blue program, with the addition of Bob Harvie and Bobby Pulido growing the ranks of New Dem Red to Blue candidates.

“New Dems are determined to fight back against Republican efforts to rig the midterms and silence the will of the voters. Bob, Jacqui, Jake, and Bobby exemplify what it means to be a New Dem, running powerful campaigns based on the commonsense vision we need to take back the House,” said Action Fund Chair Greg Stanton (AZ-04). “As New Dems continue to add to our ranks, we are more determined than ever to overperform and overcome Republican gerrymanders to ensure the voters have the last word in November. I look forward to working with each of these exceptional candidates and doing everything we can to ensure their victories this fall.”

"The New Democrat Coalition Action Fund knows what it takes to win competitive races and flip seats. I'm honored to have their support," said Bob Harvie. "New Dems are the backbone of any path back to a Democratic House majority. I'm running for Congress because our residents deserve a representative who fights for working families, not one who rubber-stamps Donald Trump's agenda. Together, we're going to win this seat and restore the promise of the American Dream."

"I am thrilled to receive the endorsement of the NewDem Action Fund. My record reflects a pragmatic, results-driven approach focused on economic growth, affordability, innovation, public safety, and responsible governance, which aligns with NewDem priorities. In the California Assembly, I have always worked with members across a wide range of viewpoints to deliver pragmatic, bipartisan solutions,” said Jacqui Irwin. “I want to continue my work solving substantive issues and believe that joining the New Democrat Coalition will allow me to work with like-minded Democrats who believe in building pragmatic solutions to the toughest issues facing our communities. In a competitive district like CA-26, that approach is essential to governing effectively and earning public trust."

“The people of southern Minnesota want pragmatic leadership that actually lowers costs and creates jobs, not career politicians who sell out to the highest bidder,” said Jake Johnson. “As a math teacher for 20 years, I genuinely enjoy solving problems, and I’ll work with anyone to get things done for southern Minnesota. I’m proud that a record number of Republicans and Independents have already participated in our campaign, and I’ll bring that same bipartisan attitude to Congress so I can deliver real results for southern Minnesota.”

“I'm proud to earn the support of the New Dem Action Fund. I got into this race because South Texas families have been talked at instead of listened to for too long, and they deserve commonsense leadership that will put their pocketbooks and futures first, not party politics,” said Bobby Pulido. “Lower costs, good-paying jobs, healthcare they can afford, and real economic opportunity right here in the Rio Grande Valley. That's the promise I'm making to TX-15, and I look forward to working with the New Dems in Congress to deliver it.”
