Washington, D.C. — Today, New Democrat Coalition Action Fund Leadership issued the following statement endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for President.
“New Dems are honored to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for President today. Along with President Biden, Vice President Harris has been a strong leader and fierce advocate in fighting for Americans’ fundamental freedoms, our democratic institutions, and hardworking American families.
“Our Members have worked closely with the Biden-Harris administration to achieve meaningful progress for the American people and we aren’t done yet.
“President Biden’s decision to pass the torch to the next generation of Democratic leaders, led by the Vice President, is the absolute right decision to both cement and build on the Biden-Harris administration's incredible legacy.
“Through her time in the Senate and in the administration, New Dems have had the privilege of working closely with the Vice President. We, along with President Biden, believe wholeheartedly that not only is she up for the job on day one, but we also have complete confidence in her ability to unite Democrats, energize voters, and defeat Donald Trump once and for all.
“This past week at the Republican Convention, Donald Trump and far-right Republicans doubled down on their dangerous, despicable, and disgusting Project 2025 agenda – a takeover plan which would strip women of their fundamental freedoms, gut our democracy, and raise costs on hardworking families. America cannot afford another four years under Trump.
“In stark contrast, Vice President Kamala Harris has a positive, forward-looking vision for our country, one where Americans’ rights are protected, our nation is safe and secure, and one where our economy is strong for everyone, not just those at the top.
