NewDems are Proud to Endorse Ashley Ehasz (PA-01), Sarah McBride (DE-AL), Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) Janelle Stelson (PA-10), and  Joanna Weiss (CA-47)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund is excited to announce its endorsement of Ashley Ehasz, Sarah McBride, Kristen McDonald Rivet, Janelle Stelson, and Joanna Weiss. Each of these women will be essential to NewDems’ work to keep key seats Democratic and flip competitive districts from red to blue.

“The NewDem Action Fund is thrilled to announce our endorsement of five impressive women: Ashley Ehasz, Sarah McBride, Kristen McDonald Rivet, Janelle Stelson, and Joanna Weiss,” said NewDem Chair Annie Kuster. “Each of these candidates share NewDems’ pragmatic approach to politics and our deep commitment to lowering costs, growing the economy, and strengthening the middle class to improve the lives of hardworking Americans. As far-right Republicans work to strip Americans of their fundamental freedoms, these women are fighting tooth and nail to ensure everyone has access to the health care they need and the ability to make their own personal, private decisions about their future. NewDems look forward to helping send each of these candidates to Congress in November.”

"I am honored to receive this endorsement from NewDem Action Fund," said Ashley Ehasz. "Pennsylvanians deserve a leader who will fight for affordable healthcare and housing, cut costs for working families, and protect reproductive freedom. I look forward to building a coalition with New Dems as we work to defeat Brian Fitzpatrick and MAGA extremists in Congress next November."

"I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund,” said Sarah McBride. “In Congress, I'll continue Congresswoman Blunt Rochester's impressive record of working alongside NewDems to protect and grow our middle class by securing our supply chains, bringing back American manufacturing, and lowering everyday costs for Delaware families.”

“I am honored to be endorsed by the New Democratic Coalition, the home for practical problem solvers in Congress,” said Kristen McDonald Rivet. “Working people in mid-Michigan are tired of seeing extremism, chaos, and inaction come from DC while they are struggling to make ends meet. We want leaders to come together to get things done, like lowering the costs of prescription drugs and helping create good-paying jobs. That is what New Dems are all about, and I look forward to working together to pass meaningful solutions to uplift our hard-working families. Now more than ever, we need effective leaders who can build bridges to deliver bold Democratic policies. Nearly every bill I've introduced as a legislator has passed with bipartisan support — and, with NewDems' support, I'm excited to run a campaign that unites our party and to serve in Congress in a way that unites our country."

For far too long, Congressman Scott Perry has put his extremist agenda above the needs of Central Pennsylvanians,” said Janelle Stelson. “As your Congresswoman, I will bring the commonsense, pragmatic leadership we deserve — to grow the economy for our middle class, improve access to high-quality healthcare, and cut costs for Pennsylvanians. I am proud to have the support of the NewDem Action Fund and to join nearly 100 NewDem members in this effort.

“I am honored to receive NewDem Action Fund’s endorsement,” said Joanna Weiss. “I’m running for Congress because, as a mom, attorney, and voting rights advocate, I know what is possible when leaders work together to make a difference for their communities. I look forward to bringing that dedication to service to Washington to lower costs, build an economy that works for everyone, and create greater opportunity for the hardworking folks in Orange County.”
