Portsmouth, New Hampshire — Today, ahead of her event with the Vice President in New Hampshire, New Democrat Coalition Action Fund Chair Annie Kuster (NH-02) issued a statement on the Vice President’s new slate of economic policies that would empower small businesses and grow the American economy.
Vice President Harris will announce an expansion of tax relief for small businesses, cuts to burdensome red tape, and her goal of reaching 25 million new business applications in her first term.
“Today, I am proud to stand with Vice President Harris as she unveils her new economic plan to turbocharge small business growth in America. Like New Dems, Vice President Harris knows that small businesses are the backbone of our economy, making up nearly 99 percent of all businesses here in New Hampshire and employing nearly half of all workers nationwide.
“Vice President Harris’ new future-forward economic plans for her presidency will build on the record small business growth we’ve already seen under the Biden-Harris administration by making it easier for entrepreneurs to start small businesses, clearing regulatory hurdles to help them expand, and giving communities the tools they need to foster business growth. Additionally, we are encouraged by Vice President Harris’ proposed tax changes that will help ensure everyone pays their fair share while also encouraging investment in our economy.
“While Trump and extremist Republicans plan to cut taxes for the wealthiest among us and raise prices for everyday Americans, Vice President Harris is laser-focused on making the economy work for Main Street, the middle class, and hardworking families. As she takes the stage in New Hampshire this afternoon, New Dems and I are honored to be by her side as we partner on an economic agenda that moves us forward – not backward.”
