New Dems Endorse Five Candidates in Key Races From Florida to Arizona

In the 2024 Campaign cycle so far, New Dems have endorsed 41 candidates in districts across the country

Today, the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund is excited to announce its endorsement of five candidates running in critical races across the country: Amish Shah (AZ-01), Whitney Fox (FL-13), and Carl Marlinga (MI-10), Maggie Goodlander (NH-02), and Emily Randall (WA-06). In the 2024 cycle so far, New Dems have thrown their weight behind 41 candidates in total, including 26 of the DCCC’s red-to-blue candidates.

“New Dems are thrilled to fully support Amish Shah, Whitney Fox, Carl Marlinga, Maggie Goodlander, and Emily Randall as we enter the home stretch of the 2024 election cycle. Whether they’re fighting to flip a seat from red to blue or to keep an open seat in Democrats’ hands, each of these candidates possess the dedication and know-how to win their race and deliver for their constituents,” said New Democrat Coalition Action Fund Chair Annie Kuster (NH-02). “We look forward to ensuring these New Dem candidates have the resources they need over the next six weeks to win. Now with more than 40 candidates endorsed in key races across the country, New Dems are working harder than ever to win up and down the ballot and deliver a Democratic House majority in November.”

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund,” said Dr. Amish Shah (AZ-01). “Like the New Dems, I am dedicated to working across the aisle to build an economy that serves everyone. By setting aside partisan differences and collaborating on critical issues like health care and housing, we can find real solutions. I look forward to partnering with the New Democrat Coalition in Congress to make those solutions a reality.”

"I'm thrilled to have the support of the New Dem Action Fund,” said Whitney Fox (FL-13). “Like them, I believe in a future where innovation drives opportunity, and every American - whether they’re starting a business, raising a family, or preparing for retirement - has the tools to succeed. While Anna Paulina Luna pushes extremist policies that would make life more expensive for working families, I'm ready to fight for a future where everyone has a fair shot at the American dream. With the New Dems' support, we'll build an economy that works for all Floridians."

"I'm honored to receive the endorsement of NewDems,” said Carl Marlinga (MI-10). “As a Judge, I swore an oath that nobody is above the law, and am trained to solve problems regardless of party. I'm running for Congress to be a pragmatic leader to lower costs and fight inflation, protect auto manufacturing jobs in Michigan and enshrine Roe v. Wade into federal law. I look forward to working with the New Dems to move our politics in a direction that works for people, not partisan extremes."

"I am honored to have the support of the New Dems in this race,” said Maggie Goodlander (NH-02).  “In Congress, I look forward to working together to build an economy that works for all Granite Staters by lowering prescription drug costs, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and delivering tax breaks for working families — not handouts to billionaires.  Together, we’ll fight for a future in which everyone has a fair shot at the American dream."

"In my time in the State Senate I have worked with Democrats and Republicans to deliver real results for Washington's working families, and am grateful for the opportunity to continue that service in Congress alongside colleagues in the New Democrat Coalition." said Senator Emily Randall (WA-06). "Our constituents deserve representatives who will work as hard for them as they are working to support their own families. The New Democrat Coalition's solutions-oriented approach to politics and leadership, and their commitment to building an economy that works for all of us, are values I hold dear and that I will proudly champion when elected."
